In the official rules scoring is to 11 per game, usually best of 5 games, 2 serves each alternating. However in social play and occasional competitions a lot of people still play to 21, usually best of 3 games, 5 serves each alternating. In games of 11 a net or edge can be a big change of momentum and each point vital. With 21 there is more time to recover and get a lead back, especially for a strong server.
